Designing an Event Landing Page For Tech Exchange's 30th Anniversary Celebration

Tech Exchange is a nonprofit organization based in Oakland, California, dedicated to closing the digital divide and promoting digital equity. Founded in 1995, Tech Exchange provides underserved communities with access to refurbished technology, digital literacy training, reliable internet resources, and tech career pathway readiness. Through partnerships with local schools, governments, and community organizations, Tech Exchange distributes computers, offers technical support, digital literacy classes, and empowers individuals with the skills needed to navigate the digital world confidently.
The 30th Celebration marks a major milestone for the organization, commemorating three decades of advancing digital equity and providing technology access to underserved communties. The event was designed to bring together community leaders, partners, donors, and alumni to celebrate past achievements and build momentum for future initiatives. With ambitious goals to increase awareness and raise funds for their programs, the celebration required compelling digital presence to centralize information, gain sponsorships and in-kind donations, streamline registrations and maximize outreach.
Website Development, Creation, and Maintenance
Led end-to-end design, development, and launch of Tech Exchange's 30th Anniversary Celebration landing page, establishing the central digital hub for event information, registration, ticket sales, and sponsorship opportunities. Spearheaded all aspects of the project - from information architecture and copywriting to visual asset creation and responsive, user-friendly design aligned with Tech Exchange's branding.
Oversaw ongoing maintenance and content updates to optimize engagement and keep content current in lead-up to the event. The landing page became a pivotal outreach tool, directly contributing to the acquisition of 13 sponsors, driving significant ticket sales, and securing 22 in-kind donations for the auction.

EasyLights is a decorative lighting installation company that serves seven counties in the Bay Area. Established in 2018, this small family business has sustained through yelp and word of mouth but was ready to elevate its brand presence.
As the owner began acquiring more clients and sought to establish greater credibility, a fully responsive website was developed to increase customer engagement and position EasyLights as a trusted, professional service provider.
The client sought a website that would distinguish EasyLights from competitors in the decorative lighting industry. Market research revealed that many compelling sites emphasized holiday or Christmas-themed designs, reflecting the most common type of lighting service offered. To differentiate EasyLights and highlight its full range of year-round services, a clean, modern, and versatile visual identity was developed.
Beyond the website's design, the project included implementing basic SEO practices, managing analytics to track engagement, and drafting a comprehensive privacy policy, compliant with California Privacy regulations to ensure transparency.
